~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 Aries Rising is an interesting book. A quick and easy read. Bonnie Hearn Hill puts you right there, with the characters, in high school. Every student who wants something, and I mean really wants it, will do everything in their power (that's legal) to make it happen. Her book is amazing. Watching someone transform their life using astrology is a twist (that i don't believe in). This piece of fiction is cool in a way that is easy to follow, relate to, and automatically makes you fall for the characters.
Karma Bites
Here is the cover for Karma Bites, out August 15th from Crescent Moon Press!
How fun is this cover?!?!   I hope you'll check it out!
Here's the synopsis:
"Whoever said, 'parents are always right' really should have thought that one through. After all, my mom believes in vampires. Go figure."
All Abigail Thompson ever wanted was to be considered normal. Instead, she ended up a loner with a vampire–obsessed mom and a stamp labeling her the resident freak of Karma, California.
When bad boy Caleb Evans saves Abby from a mean girl attack straight out of a “B” movie, Abby’s own karma starts to improve. Maybe “normal” could become her way of life, after all. But Caleb isn’t the only boy to notice her. Once newcomer Gabriel Chambers becomes Abby’s new best friend, she finds herself trapped between two boys, both holding secrets. And when Abby learns sometimes things really do go bump in the night, she discovers one of those secrets could just get her killed.
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder—much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It’s hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing—not even a smear of blood—to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?
This is Clary’s first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It’s also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace’s world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know. . . .
Exotic and gritty, exhilarating and utterly gripping, Cassandra Clare’s ferociously entertaining fantasy takes readers on a wild ride that they will never want to end.
Great thrilling adventure that puts you right there with these amazing characters. I can't wait to read the following books in the series...
Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout
When seventeen-year-old Katy Swartz moved to West Virginia right before her senior year, she’d pretty much resigned herself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring, but then she spotted her hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up…until he opened his mouth. Daemon Black is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. It’s hate at first sight, but when a stranger attacks her and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something…unexpected happens. The hot guy next door? Well, he’s an alien. Turns out that Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities and Katy is caught in the crosshairs. Daemon’s touch has lit her up like the Vegas Strip and the only way she’s getting out of this alive is by sticking close to him until her alien mojo fades. That is if she doesn’t kill him first.
I, personally, love this author. Jennifer L. Armentrout is an amazing author. She captivates the readers with the characters, plot and the relationships they share. Katy "Kitten" is a great heroin-ish character and I absolutely love her temper. I can't wait to read what comes next. Action-packed. Thrilling.
 Here check out this excerpt from Daemon's P.O.V.
   Kat was two seconds from losing it, and I loved it. Her hands curled into tiny fists. “Like what?”
            “Well, the jumping jacks… for an hour or so should do it.” I was only half serious when I made the suggestion, but then my gaze dropped over the front of her shirt. Suddenly, I wanted nothing more than to see her jump around.  “You may want to change first.”
            She took a deep breath. “I’m not jumping jacks for an hour.”
            And that was a damn shame. Crimson stained the tips of her cheeks. A sure sign she was angry. I couldn’t help myself. “You could run around the house, up and down the stairs.” I met her eyes and grinned. “We could always have sex. I hear that uses up a lot of energy.”
Until I Die by Amy Plum
I wish there was only today, just right now, and no forever.
It seems fitting that I fell in love in Paris. Peel back a thin layer of reality and under the city's glamorous surface is a battleground for immortal enemies.
Because with Vincent, reality is an illusion. Handsome, chivalrous, and witty, he's got everything I've ever wanted in a boyfriend...except mortality. But when I chose Vincent, I chose love over reason and safety.
Vincent swore to avoid death--to resist his very nature so that we could be together. But I refuse to stand by and watch him suffer.
I know I'll do whatever it takes--even if it means lying to the people I love--to fight against a fate that is trying to tear us apart.
The Revenants series, so far, is absolutely amazing! It's hard not to absolutely love, LOVE the characters. Kate is an amazing character and once you get into the story it's hard not to feel her love, pain, and emotions.
Warning: Amy Plum leaves cliff hangers...
